Television Anchor for CBS in Texas.
How did Lisa get her start?
At the age of 3, Lisa Acquafredda was bitten by the television bug and knew her passion was broadcasting. She would parade around the house, brush in hand pretending it was a microphone. That was the beginning of a life-long career that landed Lisa numerous awards, frequent flier miles and finally home!
Her career started as a Teen Reporter for Newsweek Magazine & SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE. She was one of 17 teenagers selected throughout the United States and Canada to cover issues relevant to young adults. Working for an ABC affiliate in Phoenix, wearing a number of hats professionally in every department, contributed to her gaining experience not only in front of the camera but also behind it. Her most notable project involved the Emmy award winning Investigative & Special Project Teams.
The next step in her profession was the Lone Star State of Texas. Lisa worked as an Anchor/Reporter for CBS & NBC affiliates. She received many prestigious honors from the Society of Professional Journalists, Rocky Mountain Emmy’s and Journalism Education Association.
However, Lisa is a Sun Devil at heart being a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. That made her next career move an easy decesion: back home to the valley of the sun!
